Western North Carolina · one baker

Luke Fox bakes the cookies.

I’m 17, from Western North Carolina. I started Backwood Baking in 2023 because I liked decorating cookies and making each batch feel like it belonged to someone.

It’s still a one-baker shop. Every dozen is mixed, baked, and decorated by me — a birthday, a baby, a wedding, a team, or the Tuesday that still deserves a dozen. My family made a place for me to work, and they keep showing up.

How an order actually happens

Start an order
  1. 01

    Pick an open day

The calendar shows what Luke can still take. Closed days won't accept a request.

  2. 02

    Request the dozen

Send it through the site. You get a private link for that order — nothing is due until he confirms.

  3. 03

    Follow up with him

Luke locks the date, emails you, and marks it ready. Reply on the same link.

Market days, seasonal sets, and shop news land on social first. This site’s calendar is for custom orders — not a list of vendor dates.

Talk to him

Email is how he writes back.

Request a date on the calendar and leave your email. Luke confirms there, and the private order page keeps the thread. Nothing is reserved until he says so.
